“Marcus is a world-class performer, a talented guitarist, and a gifted singer-songwriter. He is also a great person—reliable, and always a pleasure to work with.”

— Stephen Bishop

Stephen Bishop — Thimk

Marcus Eaton served as producer, guitarist, and vocalist on Thimk, the final album by legendary singer-songwriter Stephen Bishop.

The project was developed over several years of collaboration between Bishop and Eaton, with a shared focus on capturing performances that felt immediate, musical, and emotionally honest.

Working closely with Bishop throughout the recording process, Eaton helped shape the sonic character of the album while honoring the warmth and clarity that have defined Bishop’s songwriting for decades. The record blends intimate performances with atmospheric production, creating a sound that feels both timeless and deeply personal.

Thimk features guest appearances by Eric Clapton, Sting, Graham Nash, Michael McDonald, and other celebrated artists, bringing together a remarkable circle of collaborators in support of Bishop’s final collection of songs.

Producing the record became a deeply meaningful collaboration, allowing Eaton to help bring Bishop’s final group of songs to life with care and musical sensitivity.
